Knowing

In a recent conversation, on my blog, something obvious was played out.

“Agnost”, which means “not knowing” showed up and expressed: I Know Not. And insisted that “not knowing” be considered “knowledge”, in declaring: Because I Know Not, there Is Not.

“Gnost” which means “to know” responded by saying: OK…I understand. I understand the reality of being a ‘Not’head, too. Been there. Done that. But to declare “not knowing” to be any sort of *knowledge* is to express senselessness…an authority on “not knowing”, (rolling my eyes).

So I’m now bringing this page up and posting it…for those of us who also seek “to know”. And for those of us who seek “to know not”, in deep Respect, I acknowledge for ‘you’, it Is Not. For the Blind cannot see and the deaf cannot hear. But also don’t have the license to insist all others live so sensory challenged in self development.

“Thinking” to me is a process, a process of reasoning. Reasoning itself is a process, too. It is a process of adding one idea together with another without forming any contradictions in the process. This ability to make sense is common to one and all, that’s why it used to be called “common sense”.

So where does that leave “know-ledge” based on NOT “know-ing”?

Knowing

I asked my son to listen to one of the latest messages of sharing,
then asked for his comments.

“It sure sounds complicated Mom. It doesn’t sound simple. `Energy
balance’…? Why not come right out and say feeling needy?”

“What you’re hearing is an expression of distance, Honey. That’s
why so much emphasis is being placed on feeling. Because most of us
are generally distanced as far away from acknowledging our genuine
feelings as we can get. What most of us feel is not coming from our
Hearts, but from our guts. And we deal with these gut level
feelings in one of two ways, I’ve observed.

There’s our pattern of detaching ourselves from our feelings and
escaping into our mentality. It’s where a lot of our analytical
tendencies are coming from. I notice things like aggression and
anger on the rise and the tones of the popular music, to see what it
is we’re avoiding. What feelings we’re keeping locked inside, using
mental gymnastics and pursuits, as exercises in distraction.
There’s a lot of concentration on virtual reality going on and very
little concentration on improving coping skills.”

“That’s why you are the way you are about video games aren’t you
Mom?”

“Yes, to a point. I didn’t tell you I wouldn’t allow video games.
I would just make you unplugged from them every so often when your
social skills started suffering. You’re my math and engineering
child. Abstract concepts come easy for you.

As your Mother, my goal was well balanced. When you showed signs of
impatience and were quick to anger at your sister’s annoyance, I
would tell you to unplug for a week and read a book. Reading the
book activated the other side of your brain, your imagination. You
get too right brained, I direct you to the left. Just like when
Angela gets too left, I direct her to the right. The goal is
balanced. Well balanced.

This running away from our emotions into our mentality is like
hiding the dirty litter box behind a door. We don’t have to
acknowledge it’s full but, the smell still permeates everything.
We’re not facing our emotions but the emotions are still very much
present.

The other pattern we use is one of simply indulging ourselves in our
feelings, never mind knowing what those feelings are and why we’re
feeling them. Emotional self indulgence.

If we didn’t indulge ourselves in emotions below the waistline, then
chances are, we wouldn’t have so many issues with how far those
waistlines are expanding. Maybe if we called them wastelines, then
it would become clear what so many of us keep doing to ourselves.

Emotions and feelings from our gut level are not Loving emotions.
And it’s these emotions that we keep feeding ourselves. Emotions
that are not Loving, nor nurturing. The more we nurture these denser
emotions, the more we feel them. The more we feel them, the more we
feel we need nurturing. It is a cycle of neediness. And one of the
rules of the game is that there never will be enough.”

“Enough of what?”

“Enough of whatever. It doesn’t matter. It can’t be enough, for if
it ever was, then we wouldn’t find ourselves in need.

Reminds me of the new Lime Coke. Have you had one?”

“Yes. I know what it does.”

“Yeah, the lime is an aftertaste. You drink more Coke to kill the
aftertaste and end up with more of an aftertaste. You can drink the
whole bottle and still end up thirsty for something to kill the
aftertaste. Perfect treat for Halloween, a drink that leaves you
thirsty after drinking it.

Of the two patterns, the emotionally indulgent one is the most
draining. It usually just goes on and on and on, one guilt trip
after another. Which is one of the main reasons why so many of us
use the other pattern. To make ourselves immune to those of us
using this one.

You and Angela are good examples of the patterns. Male/female. One
lives in denial of emotions and the other wallows in it. You’ve
just got a vulture of a Mom that won’t tolerate the use of either
unhealthy pattern in my house.”

“Why? Isn’t that being kind of controlling, Mom?”

“If I don’t each you what Respect IS, then you won’t know how to be
Respectful to others. Neither of the emotional patterns I mentioned
are Respectful of others. And yes, you may just chalk it up to
being a Condition. If I’m not being treated with Respect in my own
home, you’re going to hear about it. Chances are, so will the
neighbors.”

“How is it Disrespectful?”

“Because neither pattern Respects our emotions as our emotions.
One pattern detaches in order to avoid claiming them. The other
simply blames every emotion experienced, on someone or something
else.

The one thing that would help both, is the one thing that both
avoid.”

“What’s that?”

“Sovereignty. Respecting and Honoring our emotions as our
emotions. Then and only then, are we empowered to start governing
them. Choose to feed ourselves emotions that are Loving and
nurturing instead of those that aren’t.

Your textbook for that college Health class you took called it being
Self Nurturing and listed it as one of the requirements for being
considered mentally and emotionally healthy. Research studies have
found the link between wellness and being self nurturing in our
attitudes.

The neediness, the draining of resources, physical resources, mental
resources and emotional resources, in order to maintain the feeding
cycle.., that’s what was meant by `energy balancing`.”

“Everybody in need and fighting over pieces of a pie, instead of
claming Sovereignty, being self nurturing and increasing the size of
the pie?”

“You got it. Start balancing the energy. Make pie bigger. Instead
of fighting over pieces.”

“What’s this word mean?”

“Which one?”

“Gnost. What’s that all about?”

“It’s a term that’s been used before historically. `Gnost’
means `knowing’.”

“Well, why didn’t they just say that?”

“You’d have to ask them. Maybe they didn’t `know’?”

“That’s funny Mom.”

“I didn’t mean it to be funny but yes, I see the humor in the
situation. Been there. Done that. `We shall see, said the blind
man’. Same thing.

Jason, I know the word, because I know some Greek and I studied the
esoteric texts. `Gnost’ and `agnost’. `To know’ and `to know
not’. Both come from the root word gnosis, which means Knowledge,
but this knowledge isn’t the head kind. This Knowledge is an inner
Knowing. Ancients Greeks used to call it an Intuitive Knowing.
It’s the Knowing that comes from our Hearts. Gnost is when
Understanding sinks in.

We Understand because we Know. I taught you to be Heart centered.
To believe in what you Know and not dishonor it in favor of what
someone else said they thought they knew. I’ve hammered Sovereignty
into your head like a drill sergeant since you were little Hon.
It’s part of what makes you `different’.”

“Thanks Mom.”

“I didn’t miss the sarcasm.”

“It did make it difficult when it came to relating to kids my age.”

“I know it did. I went through it, too. It’s getting better isn’t
it? Now that you’re in college and around others that are focused
in self development?”

“Yes, yes it is.”

“Well, it’s going to get easier, too. For a lot of us. We’re
going to have more company on the play ground real soon. I don’t
know how big the wave is, but there is a massive wave of people that
just expanded to the level of claiming their Sovereignty. A great
many of us have recently chosen to reconnect and start opening our
Hearts. Now the healing can genuinely begin.

The grounding and anchoring is going on just like I suspected. This
is cause for celebration. We`re gonna’ have company.”

“I don’t understand Mom.”

“In old literature, what’s going on used to be
called ‘precipitation’. We Love an idea first in our Mind. This
mental Love is called Admiration. If we admire it long enough and
often enough and strong enough, then one day we’ll have become
comfortable enough with the idea to open our Hearts and, it will
start grounding and anchoring. We’ll start digesting it. We will
come to know the feeling the idea represents. Genuine Understanding
will literally sink in. Once it is anchored and grounded in our
Hearts, then we become able to live it. Expressing it in our daily
activities and responses to Life.

Grounding Gnost is like digesting one of those 72 ounce Texas
steaks. We can only do it one bite at a time and digest each bite,
allowing ourselves time to absorb it, otherwise, we’ll get sick.
What makes it even more of a challenge, is that most of us are
anorexic or bulimic when it comes to Gnost. It’s hard for us to
swallow, much less digest.

Just simply the word being used threw me for a loop. What threw me
was the context. It took me back almost 18 years. `Gnost`,
meaning `to know’ from the Greek word gnosis, meaning Knowledge,
Intuitive Knowing.”

“That would have helped.”

“They didn’t Know, Honey. It is this Knowing that many are now
opening up to Dear. It’s the Knowing that is now in the process of
precipitating. It’s comparable to the event of bringing down the
Berlin Wall but happening on a much more profound level. There is
great excitement and a sense of celebration as the wall tumbles.

The next thing that will happen is a realization of how much healing
work there is to be done. Like the realization of how horrid the
conditions were in East Germany and how much work and effort it was
going to take to bring East Germany up to the standards enjoyed by
West Germany.”

“Celebrate today for tomorrow reality is going to sink in.”

“Basically. Using the word Gnost is really insightful. For the
subject is Empowerment and claiming our Sovereignty. Being True to
what we Know in our Hearts. Being True to Gnost. Cease choosing
Self denial and Self betrayal. And the world will quit mirroring
that betrayal. Honor thyself. Respect thyself. Love thyself.”

“Mom, why is the pattern of self denial and self betrayal so
widespread?”

“It’s what we’ve all been taught. Monkey see, monkey do. The
pattern of denial and betrayal was formally decreed to be
the `Christian’ moral standard at the Council of Nicea in 325 AD.”

“The Council of Nicea?”

“Yes, the Council of Nicea. Nicea is a town in Turkey. Roman
Emperor Constantine I
convened a council there in 325 AD. The invitation list was very
exclusive. Only Agnostics were invited to attend and contribute.”

“Agnostics?”

“Yes. Agnostics. Agnost means `to know not’. The New Testament is
basically set against an agnostic background of worshipping
Ignorance. Make `not knowing’ a moral goal and make knowing taboo.
That’s what was done.

It was at this council that certain self proclaimed religious
authorities of the time decided the contents of the `New
Testament’. Since only Agnostics attended, only agnostic
interpretations and perspectives were declared as valid and True,
while any and all Gnostic perspectives and interpretations were
declared heresy. To speak or write of them meant a death sentence.

Reference to this is in your movie King Arthur.”

“Where?”

“Arthur’s mentor, Pelagius. It is mentioned in the movie that he
was executed for his beliefs. Because according to his beliefs,
others didn’t look so holy. Pelagius was a Gnostic. His death
sentence was due to the overriding perspective of The Church at the
time. It was Agnostic. The Church didn’t like the Gnostic
perspective.”

“Why?”

“Because in accordance with the Gnostic perspective, religion is a
personal experience of individual consciousness. A deeply and
profoundly personal experience of communing with the Knowing in our
Hearts.

For all the other little petty disagreements that were decided and
presumably set in stone at that council, the negation of the Gnostic
perspective wasn’t even argued by those in attendance. Of course
Gnostics needed to be wiped out. Individual spiritual experiences
would nullify the hierarchy and authority of The Church.

Here’s the real kicker, though…

It was also decreed that it be accepted on Blind Faith that those
who selected the books included and labeled as the New Testament,
were Divinely inspired.”

“Inspired by what?”

“By `not knowing’ obviously.  (ROFL)  But anyone who questioned the sense in
accepting `not knowing’ as `knowledge’ throughout the ages, was
summarily executed.

There you have it. That’s how we all got programmed in Denial and
Betrayal. Because it meant a death sentence not to be for many
ages.”

“But Mom, it doesn’t make any sense.”

“What doesn’t make any sense?”

“To claim to be an authority on ‘not knowing’. How could you know?”

“Does sound kind of dumb doesn’t it? It gets even worse in terms of
sense, really.”

“How?”

“We’re suppose accept this authority as having unknown powers for
determining the unknowable. We’re not suppose to question the sense
or the authority. And simply questioning is proof of wanting to
know, wanting to understand. We’re not suppose to want `to
know`. It’s `wrong’ to want to know. Obedience is `good’.
Understanding is `bad’.

I’ll show you how ingrained the pattern of `not suppose to want to
understand’ is.”

“How?”

“Have you ever seen one of your friends getting into trouble for
asking their parents or some other authority figure `why’?”

“Yeah!”

“Well…there it is. A simple expression of seeking to understand
perceived as a threat to ‘authority’.”

“You never acted that way, Mom.”

“No, I didn’t. I knew better. I didn’t want compliance. What good
would that do? You’d end up being a co-dependent that needs others
to think and make decisions for them. I don’t want to have to carry
you all my life. 9 months was enough. Nor do I want to fight with
some other female as to who’s going to make your decisions for you.
No thanks. I suppose I could have raised you immersed in The
Church’s teachings and dogma in order to control your choices. Then
I could have used guilt to whip you with, for the rest of your life.”

“Guilt over what?”

“Oh I don’t know. I could have made up something, like trying to
make you feel guilty for kicking me all those times when I was
pregnant with you. It doesn’t matter what the guilt is over once
we’ve already been programmed to respond to guilt. But I didn’t do
that either.

I knew your path, your Life’s Joy depends on listening to your own
heart and basing your choices on what your own Heart reveals to
you. It’s our Hearts that tell us our Passion. It’s our Hearts
that tell us our Joys. It’s our Heart that Loves.

I desired your Understanding. I wanted you to know how to
understand things yourself, for yourself. The more you questioned,
the more you expressed your desire to know. I supported and
nurtured that to the best of my ability. I taught you to question,
seeking Understanding. I didn’t want you to believe in the
unknowable, just the unknown.”

“I didn’t realize the worship of Ignorance was so widespread.”

“Believe me, we don’t know what we’re doing when it comes to what we
choose to believe.

The taboo against Knowing is really strong. So most of us don’t
question. Being caught questioning and not just simply believing,
is like being labeled a religious criminal of some kind. Fear of
the consequences is an overriding factor of many. Why, I’ve even
had a ‘Shaman’ quite earnestly warn me of the dire consequences of
Knowing in these days and times.”

“Why is the fear so strong?”

“Most likely has something to do with all the persecutions and
exterminations. The Cathars, The Knights Templar, The Freemasons,
The Rosicrucian’s, The Ascended Master Teaching Foundation, The
Illuminati, were and are essentially Gnostic groups.”

“Secret societies?”

“You bet. But not for subversive reasons. Secret as in, we will be
executed if anyone finds out we even know about these alternate
perspectives. The word ‘occult’ means that which is hidden.
When ‘not knowing’ became the way of the World, ‘knowing’ had to go
underground, in order to avoid being noticed.”

“All those names you mentioned, they`re familiar but I don’t know
why.”

“Most likely because you’ve seen the names before. Lots of time.
Every time we moved my library. The Esoteric teachings of all
those society’s are what’s in all those books.”

“I don’t have to read all of them do I”?

“Heaven’s no. Not unless you particularly want to. Maybe you’d
like to check my resources?’

“No way.”

“Then simply leave it at knowing there is ample reference material
at hand, should you ever be interested or curious. I think the
material is outdated myself. We are Living Beings and expand in our
Understanding all the time. You told me the information I sought.”

“It sure will be more fun on the playground with more kids to play
with, huh, Mom?”

“Yes, Dear. It will be nice to have company.”

Praise for Women

There was a spy, Pilate had sent to follow (Jesus) Christ and take note of any heresies. In endeavoring to get close to the Master, he pushed an old women aside. What follows is what Jesus said, his prayer of praise for women.

“Whoever respects not his Mother, the most sacred being after his God, is unworthy of the name of son.

Respect woman for she is the Mother of the Universe. And all the Truth of Divine Creation lies in her.

She is the basis of all that is good and beautiful, as she is also the germ of life and death.

She gives birth to you in the midst of suffering, by the sweat of her brow she raises you and until her death, you cause her the greatest anxieties.

Bless her and worship her, for she is your one true friend, your one support on earth.

And in the same, men love your wives and respect them, for they will be Mothers tomorrow and each, later on, the ancestress of her race.

Be lenient towards women, for a woman’s love ennobles a man, softens his hardened heart, tames the brut in him and makes of him a lamb.

The wife and the mother are the inappreciable treasures given unto you by God. Protect your wife, in order that she may protect you and all the family.

Everything that you do for your wife, for your mother or for a widow, you have done unto your God.”

This was one of the prayers left OUT of “the bible”.

Discernment - The 3rd Labor of Hercules - The Apples of Hesperides

I dedicate this post to {{Simon}}, who worries he isn’t shifting fast enough…

When a certain idea keeps coming to me from all sides, repeatedly, it is one of the ways I am to “know” that I am being ~prodded~, goaded even, to speak, when I really don’t want to. (My own human self, getting in My way.)

Lately, one of the issues has been the issue of discernment. So long as there are those of us working on this issue, there will be lies and deceivers, for they are the polar ‘opposites’ of us when we do not know how to discern truth from illusion. Lies and gullibility are two sides to the same coin, two ends to the same rubber band.

Discernment happens to be the 3rd labor of Hercules. It’s rather an involved labor. After the 1st labor of reining in our horses, The Capture of the Man-Eating Mares, establishing mental discipline and, the 2nd labor of riding our bull of desire over to the Temple of our Soul, The Capture of the Cretan Bull, comes the labor of discernment: the Golden Apples of Hesperides.

This is the labor of bringing the two poles of our being together. Coordinating, synthesizing, integrating and, creating a state of at-one-ment between our Soul and our Personality, so that duality gives way to Unity and all pairs of opposites are blended, are seen as ends of the same rubber band. The apples are symbols of the all inclusive nature of Spirit, how all are nurtured by the same Tree of Life.

In the story there were 3 apples, symbolizing Instinct, Intellect and Intuition. The 3 layers of Mind. It takes Intellect, a conscious act of Will, to overcome Instinct, which was the lesson of labors 1 & 2.

But it is still Instinct that is activating the Law of Attraction…that is riding our desire nature (the bull) and, causing our fear inducing perceptions (our horses running wild with us). Until this pattern is overcome, through the Discernment of Intuition. The 3rd labor is to register contact with Spirit in waking consciousness and recognize its qualities.

In the story, Hercules is to get the Golden Apples, which grow on the Tree of Wisdom, a sacred tree of great renown. The tree and its fruit were said to have been a Gift from Divine Mother, the unconditional support structure of Her Garden of Eden. The fame and tale of these sweet fruits had been told far and wide, luring many sons of man and Sons of God over time.

He was told 3 things about his labor. First, that the way would be long. Second, that the tree was well guarded by three beautiful maidens, who were in turn guarded by a dragon with 100 heads. And third, to guard himself well from strength too great for him and wiles beyond his comprehension.

He was also told that on his search he would meet with 5 tests, each with Insight upon where the fruits of Wisdom could be found. As with each of us, at this stage of our enlightenment are in search of 5 things: we have not what is called “a translation faculty of the Presence”, for we do not yet posses the privilege and the prerogative. We may claim to believe in the Reality of a Soul, in the possibility of being Whole and Complete, in a journey of self discovery and self realization but belief has not been turned into Knowledge of the Spiritual Realms in terms of genuine “knowing”. Glamour still rules our minds.

Off Hercules goes, passing through the third gate and, headed north, symbol for the direction of Spirit. He went far and wide, questioning everyone everywhere he went. Coming back to where he started before the gate, time and time again. No one knew where the sacred tree grew. No one knew where to find the golden apples. Discouraged and deflated of his early bravado, Hercules still trudged on.

Out of Compassion, he was sent some aid: Nereus, son of the God of Fresh Waters, son of Neptune, known as “the Ancient of the Sea”. He was not only wise but, capable of assuming many forms. Just as our Spirit, when first contacted, in the early stages of our journey will come to us as a flash of illumination, an “Aha!” moment, a sudden realization, then disappear. Its Wisdom fleeting and illusive, like a hint dropped into our awareness when we have stilled our emotions.

Time and time again Nereus contacted Hercules, in varying forms using various words of Truth, but Hercules ignored him, not recognizing him for who he was. Wise was he and deep in the Wisdom of a Son of God but Hercules was blind and could not see. His answers were always in the form of hints of things to Hercules, leaving him with only a vague idea of what to do and where he needed to go. He did finally impress upon him the way before him was to turn south.

He had his high moment, when he transcended his ‘human’ consciousness and experienced communion with his Spirit, but it did not last.

Failure marking the 1st of the tests, in the darkness of his own ignorance, Hercules continued his search. Having found no sacred tree in the north, Hercules turns and heads south, symbolic of going back into the world, the opposite pole of Spirit.

Where he immediately ran into Antaeus the Serpent, son of the God of Salt Water, son of Poseidon and, the Earth. There is significance in the distinction between fresh water and salt water. One is conducive and supportive of life if swallowed, the other isn’t. One represents Truth, the other, illusions. Hercules wrestled with the Serpent but it overcame him at every turn. “He must guard the tree”, Hercules imagined, “I must be close. All I have to do is break his strength and then get the fruits.” But he wrestled with all his strength and could not conquer.

“Why do I fail?” he cried. “As an infant I destroyed a serpent from my crib. I strangled it with my own hands. What is wrong with me now?”

Finally, he grasped it with both hands and lifted it up in the air. And the deed was done, the Serpent vanquished. Antaeus, momentarily defeated spoke: “I will meet you again in another guise when you come through the 8th gate” and, disappeared.

The Serpent Antaeu symbolizes the serpent of glamour, especially what we call “astral” glamour. Glamour of this kind includes all aspects of what we call “psychic”. It is with the lower aspects of this “psychism” that Hercules has to wrestle with, as in our early stages so do we, for the glamour is very powerful to our untrained minds and attracts each and every single one of us. At this stage, we are ill equipped to verify in any way, what we see, hear or sense. Like Hercules, many of us wrestle with this Serpent for a long time, before we learn how to lift it up to the Light of Illumination.

Earth being Antaeus’ Mother, he draws all his strength from her. So when he becomes disconnected from her, he looses all his power. This tells us that the source of the Serpent’s strength is the Vanity of our Personality. The air has also always been a symbol of what is called the “buddhic” plane or “Christ” plane of activity. When we (rein in our horses) to seek the single eye of illumination (ride the bull to the temple), then our mind in filled with Light and all glamour is seen for what it Is. Truth is revealed. Glamour vanquished. Becoming both immune and invincible to it at the same time.

Simply a change in our perspective can work miracles when it comes to the way we feel.

Essentially, fear and excitement feel the same. What we choose to qualify what we feel, depends entirely on our perspective of expectation…whether we expect ‘good’ or ‘bad’. From the ‘buddhic’ or the Christ way of looking at things, there is NO ‘bad’. Every moment in Life is a Present, a Gift of experience. How Grateful are we for our Presents? How much do we love Life?

“Glamour” is composed of all of our ideas that the Love of God or Spirit, is Conditional. That there are limits to an Absolute’s absolute-ness. Any and all of our ideas based on separation, based upon being separate from Spirit at any moment. It is any and all of the realities we live in our heads based on supposed ‘spiritual’ exclusiveness. Like good/bad are based upon the perception of exclusiveness. As in “Heaven” and “Hell”, “the chosen” and “the unchosen”. Like contradictions, conflict and competition are all based upon the perception of different ‘parts’. Like categories and qualifications are all based on the idea of separation, as well as, being end results of a thinking process called “anal-ysis”, which is best referred to as Hindsight.

While the “view” of Spirit is One of Unity and Equanimity and the thought process of Unity awareness is that of Synthesis.

Ideas of polarity and duality and all the emotions that go with them, all our dreams and all our dramas based upon being superior or exalted above others, all our dramas based on fear and doubts about being loved and accepted, are what make up the substance of the ‘astral’ planes of Glamour.

Rising above it all, is the basis of this story. The “two who are one”. The son of man who is also a Son of God. The Reconciliation of the Divine Brothers. The symbolism behind the sign “Gemini”. The tale has been told over and over and over. Castor & Pollux. Romulus & Remus. Cain and Abel. Christ and Lucifer. Symbolizing the two aspects of our nature, our Soul or Spirit and, our Personality.

In getting back to my story, the 2nd test met and overcome victoriously, Hercules proceeds along his search. Feeling renewed strength through confidence he turns and heads west, where he runs straight into his 3rd test in the form of Busiris, the great Arch Deceiver, another relative of the god of salt water, Poseidon. It his role to bring delusion to the minds of the sons of men by posing as a teacher, a spiritual authority. He has a quickness to his speech and speaks words like ‘accept what I tell you”, “I am the authority. I have been chosen to know the secrets withheld from others.” “Stay with me and be Saved.”

Hercules obeyed, the invitation so gracious, and weakened daily, his strength slowly sapped by the sweet words of deceit. He slowly surrendered his will and his Mind over to Busiris, day by day and, came to accept him as teacher and guide. Busiris made great claims of himself, claims that he was a custodian of the truth and could lead Hercules into the Light, that he could show him the way. Hercules loved and adored Busiris and accepted everything he said without question. Until one day his beloved teacher bound him in chains upon an altar and kept him bound there for one year, as his slave and captive.

Busiris is anyone of us making claims of being an authority figure, superseding the authority of the Presence within our own Hearts. It is anyone who tells us to look to them instead of to look within. It is anyone who seeks to chain and bind us to them through our own ignorance, need or self-denial. Truth or Wisdom only extended for a price of sacrificing personal Sovereignty to them.

This includes the roles of Pastor, Pope, Priest, Guru, Minister, Rabbi, Initiate and Shaman, to name a few. Believing in that authority over us, means we have temporarily forgotten we are ‘Hera-kles’ or our ‘Soul’s Glory”, that we are also Sons of God.

These Busiris figures in our lives claim to be custodians of the Truth, somehow and for some reason, withheld from others. They bolster their position and image with promises and build strong Personality relationships catering to our vanities. They also use the genuine sincerity of others in seeking the Truth to bind them to them, making them appear greater by way of satellites in orbits around them.

No son of man who also knows himself to be a Son of God will make any other promise then to say: “There are steps. Steps all the “saints” and “Masters of Wisdom” have always taken. If you but try and have endurance, trust and patience, the goal will be yours, too.”

At the end of a year, when Hercules was struggling to free himself, all of a sudden he remembered something Nereus had said to him: “Truth lies within yourself. There is the highest strength and Wisdom within your self. Turn inwards and invoke the strength, which Is, the Power, which is the heritage of every Son of God.”

Silently he lay in waiting, for just the right opportunity, then with the strength that belongs to all Sons of God, he broke free of his chains, seized the false teacher by the throat and bound him to the altar in his place. And left him there, without speaking a word, to learn the same lesson.

He freed himself, as do all sincere seekers, having freed our selves from the worlds of fake spiritual teachings and psychic glamour. Hercules had passed the 3rd test. Notice that the tests so far, may appear to be laced with discouragement, delay, deceit and failure however; Hercules was rapidly learning the language of his own Soul.

He was wandering on his way, mulling over the lessons in Wisdom he had learned over the past year, spent prone upon that altar, when he heard a moan of deep distress. The intensity of the cry tore at his very Soul. In the distance over a huge rock, he saw vultures circling, near to where the cries and moans were coming from. Hercules was torn with indecision. He had already lost a year and felt a need for haste. He did not like the idea of another delay. But again the cries burst forth and his mind was made up. He bolted into a run to help whoever it was needed aid.

He found Prometheus, another son of God, an older brother, chained to a rock, suffering the agonies of vultures picking away at his liver, which symbolized being tortured by vultures of old ways and old desires. When Hercules broke the binding chain and freed Prometheus, he freed himself from the vultures of selfish desire that had been eating away at him, too. He gave up being selfish and gave up on only satisfying himself and his desires. Cooperation was the Key to World Service. Genuine Initiates were too busy serving the Whole of Man, to spend much time drawing interest to themselves for validation of Vanities and self-aggrandizement.

Hercules then chased away the vultures and took his time tending the sick man. When Prometheus was recovered, with much loss of time, Hercules went again on his way. He had passed the 4th test. The test of Service. In beginning to recognize the Spiritual Presence within him self, he also started recognizing it within all others, too. Any help he extended towards another, hastened his own realization.

He went on, searching for the sacred tree everywhere: north, south, east and west. Finally one day when he was almost totally worn out by fear and travel, he heard a rumor from a passerby that the tree was to be found near a distant mountain. On a bright sunny day he looked east and found what he had been looking for, the highest mountains. He hurried on his way, imagining victory would shortly be in his grasp. “I will vanquish the dragon”, he thought, “and then charm the fair maidens right out of their fruits.”

But again, a sight that disturbed him down to the very depths of his Soul stopped him. He had almost reached the top of the summit of the highest mountain when he turned a corner and came face to face with Atlas, another older brother, another Son of God, too. He saw Atlas but Atlas did not see him, for his back was bowed by the weight of the World upon his shoulders. He staggered under the load, his eyes closed in agony.

Hercules stood there literally shaking, taking in the whole scene. He watched, gauging the weight and size of the load of pain. All thought of his search had left his mind. The quest for the sacred tree, the fair maidens and their apples faded completely away from his thoughts. The only ideas in his head were those of how to aid the giant as soon as possible.

He rushed forward and lifted the load off Atlas, placing the weight of the World on his shoulders instead. He clinched his eyes shut, mentally bracing himself for the weight and pain of the load of the World, when suddenly the load rolled off and disappeared. Both he and Atlas stood free.

Atlas, now free, goes to the Garden of Hesperides, has no trouble with the 100 headed glamour dragon and with the enthusiastic help of the fair maidens, brings the apples to Hercules, who now also stands free, having passed the 5th and final test. With Love, he hands them to Hercules.

Then the maidens step forward with still more golden apples, symbolizing three aspects of his own Divinity. They each symbolize the potency of a Divine Principal.

The 1st Maiden, Aegle, presses her apple into Hercules’ hand saying, “The way to Us is always marked with Deeds of Love. Of extending ourselves for the Joy of the extension, requiring no conditions.” She represents the Glory of Life and the Splendor of the setting sun: the magnificence in manifesting on the physical plane.

Then the 2nd Maiden, Erytheia, steps up and presses her apple into Hercules’ hand. Inscribed in the apple is one golden word: Service. “Remember this”, she said, “Forget it not.” Erytheia represents the keeper of the gate of our Soul, which is always opened with a key of Loving-Wisdom: Intelligence illuminated by the Light of our Soul, through our Intuition. “Always embraces all ways.”

Lastly, Hesperis, the 3rd Maiden steps up. She represents the evening star, the star of Initiation and symbolizes Willpower. She says with great Clarity and Love to Hercules, “Tread the Way. For all World Servers from now on. Body, Soul and Spirit; Intelligence, Love and Will.”

“Then I give back these apples for those who follow”, said Hercules and returned from whence he came. Before the Watcher he stood, rendering an exact account of all that had transpired. Of why he went after the golden apples but does not have them now.

The Watcher gives him a word of cheer, points to the next gate, the fourth one, saying to him, “Go now, pass through that gate. Capture the doe and enter once again into a holy place.”

Despite all the hindrances and deviations due to astral and physical glamour, Hercules did obtain the golden apples. No matter how much time it took, he did arrive at Wisdom.

Coping - Skills

“We so often react to problems, but we should strive to live a life for our children which will enable us not to have be in reactive mode so much - a good defense system, for lack of a better word, (one which involves unity, love and intimacy) may dissipate any unforseen problems before they materialize.”

As babies, we often cry ourselves to sleep at the end of the day. While it freaks many of us new parents out with worry over something being ‘wrong’, a lot of times there is nothing going on besides a way of coping with all the stimulation experienced throughout the day. We release through tears. Are able to relax and fall asleep.

As we grow older, we start modeling our mental and emotional patterns based on those around us. If our adult role models are reactionary, then that is also the pattern we learn as children, when it comes to coping with certain emotions.

Anyone can ask my kids. They’ll tell ya’. I’m a vulture of a mom. Behavior police. They learn not to treat other people any way I don’t like being treated. If I re-act, they can pretty much assume other people will react. Most likely with a shorter fuse then mine.

Having chosen to base my value system on being able to embrace our ‘negative’s well as our ‘positive’, I am free to ‘mess up’ sometimes, too. And re-act. And I’m not pleasant when I re-act. No one even wants to be anywhere around the vicinity of any of my explosions…like fallout from a nuclear re-action.

Because I can ’see’, I *know* where all of our inner weaknesses are.

The more intimately we *know* and Understand ourselves, the more intimately we *know* and understand all others. For underneath surface appearance of being different, we are all the same. All it takes “to see” is to ask ourselves the question of any action, “what would cause me to act that way?”

To *know* a thing, is to have Power over it.

“A good defense system”…might I share an alternative?

How about instead of thinking about defense, we think about immunity?

Kind of like instead of worrying about ‘catching something’, we nurture the idea of immune systems empowered to handle anything?

just an idea…

And there are other ways of dealing with our emotions then trying to distance and detach ourselves from them. Which as you illuminated, is what intimacy or, “into me see”, is all about…

Timelessness

In response to any and all of our philosophies relating to spiritual ages, like ‘new’ souls or ‘baby’ souls or any sort of idea that we’re *here* to learn, like in a schoolhouse, with different grades…I ask

At what age is Timelessness considered a “baby”?

Kinda’ reminds me of the one about: if a man says something in the middle of the forest and no woman hears him, is he still wrong?

WASL

Smiling…

I am aware of how most of us feel about the assessment testing of our children in school.  So…

I volunteered to be a proctor and am lending my Presence to the children as they are taking their tests.

I am a part time employee over the next week or two, for one of the 1st online school district programs being offered by our state.

I read instructions and help the kids relax and feel confident…

If

by Rudyard Kipling

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But can make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by the waiting,
Or, being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk to wise:

If you can dream - and not make the dream your master
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same:
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build’em up with worn-out tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings,
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: “Hold on!”

If you can walk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch
If neither foes nor friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much:
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And - which is more - you’ll be a Man, my son!

Oxymorons

One time one of my sons was distraught over witnessing the depths of prejudice in some people. He had never been exposed to it in such a blatant manner. No one who has ever lived in the South would even dream of doing so…while white supremacy groups in the Northwest considered being prejudice the “right” way of being.

So my husband asked our son what he thought about forming a club, an anti-prejudice club. That would not let any prejudice people in it.

Kind of like a lot of our positions concerning ‘war’. We ‘oppose’ it…like making war upon war. Or like saying we hate haters.

I can Be FOR Peace without opposing or being against anything. Simply by seeking understanding rather then acting out of condemnation.

And excuse me for being so bold as to say…that after all the lifetimes the Dali Llama has spent endeavoring to lead people to Peace, these same people aren’t expressing they learned much.  What does that say about the efficacy of what has been taught?  Maybe it’s time they weren’t led and learned how to think for themselves and within themselves? Maybe it’s time the People were individually EMPOWERED, rather then crippled by religious beliefs of limitation ? Maybe it’s time they were freed from the brainwashing of their so-called ’spiritual authorities’?

One of the major differences between most of us and the Dali Llama is that most of us did not have our butts wiped by someone else growing up. The redundancy of living the same life over and over and over would bore me to death over and over, too.

Socio Path Express

I was born ‘genius’, labeled ‘bastard’ by The Church and put out for adoption.

Was sexually molested by Priests at the age of 2 1/2.

Witnessed my sister drugged into nonexistence because mom was an emotional nitwit.

And learned to keep my mouth shut.

Because people weren’t People to me.

People acted like they didn’t know what was inside of them.

People acted like they didn’t even know ABOUT an inside of them.

And here I was, knowing that what’s inside is what is Real.

It was ever so difficult to relate.

Because I would relate to what was Real rather then support what wasn’t. I gave up on Popularity early. What with an older sister labeled ‘retarded’ and all. Kids used to throw rocks at us because of her cooties, rather then let us play, too. We weren’t “normal”.

I learned that “normal” meant “conformity” early on. And saw that nothing would be spared making sure of it. My sister was placed on 6 Thorazine a day since she was 9 years old. Drugged into not having any Life of her own.

That’s why when I heard at age 52, she had had sex for the 1st time in her life, my Heart sang with Joy. And I damned all the uptight anal retentive bitches that saw to judge her, to the various hells of their own making. By taking everything I saw they had locked inside of them in denial and bringing it to light in their faces.

Because when it comes to my sister, people try to use intellectual intimidation on her, since they can see she is weak in this area. They also try to dump all their own fears on her, who has no defense. And eventually come face to face with me, who can not only access multiple levels of intellect but also intuition.

You see, I know how to use our Society’s scare tactics, too.

Only the fear I can inspire is much more profound. I can scare the ‘hell’ right out of our Personality’s. And touch us down to our very Soul’s.

People, Real People have written to me genuinely wanting to know about my life and what’s in it that has inspired such a great love for Humanity within me.

Abuse, that’s what in it. And hurt.

Abuse and hurt I’ve had to embrace as part of me in order to heal the wounds of it. I had to learn to love all of me in order to feel like a Whole person.

Our Society has been one of Plastic people, Valuing appearances only. And if we haven’t had the privilege of plastic, then we haven’t been included in our Society. The basic law of Supply and Demand has been corrupted. Demand manipulated through the use of credit to favor only those who conform. Nice little slaves to emotional insecurity.

Exactly how many goods and services would there be demanded WITHOUT the use of credit?

Because that’s the REAL demand.

And our Economy better start serving it before our fake one goes through the floor. How many generations have been sold into slavery to debt already? And isn’t Congress vested with the responsibility to insure the Value of the People’s money supply? The more that’s printed, the less value all of it has!

If there are those of us who do not understand what I mean, I’ll say the food banks are in dire need. They are being flooded with more and more that need help. For that’s where most of the plastic people’s lives are heading.

Because that’s where most of the Real people have been living all along. The ones of us that couldn’t afford appearances, so learned Tolerance, Acceptance, Forgiveness and Understanding instead.

“Getting all the money we wanted” was a bratty and ridiculous idea to begin with. We danced the dance. Now it’s time we paid the piper and learned never to call that tune again.

Ours is a government OF the People.  People lacking in fiscal self discipline do not make up a group that has any, either, for one is a reflection of the other.
